I have a 1938- D buffalo that has the same type of foreleg as the 1936-D 3 1/2 leg buffalo. Match it against the pictures of the two BU 1938-D buffalo reverses, and please let me know what you think.
I still see enough leg left on forward leg, just a worn, polished die, not to be confused with 3.5 legs, the leg is GONE there on a true one.
As a kid I got a 37D 3leg in change...no hole in folder so put in safest place, my piggybank. Two months later went to pull out to show a friend, was GONE! I hadn't been in there, but my mother was...for parking meter change!
