To me, I'd pay 50 cents. That is all it is worth to me. Others disagree. The initials were part of the design. They were either polished off the die before the coin was struck. Or the die was filled with grease. On some of the polished off examples, but often can see part of the 'FG'. But I don't collect these because to me they are not a variety, but a die abrasion alteration, or a filled die. But that is just me.
I have sold several on the bay over the years. I sold them in the eight to ten dollar range. I noticed that almost if not all of the ones that I sold came from two die pairs. Both were caused by the die being polished to remove clash marks. Still Lookin
