Just curious if it is an off center strike or just worn from age

In order for it to be an off center strike it has to be struck off center on both sides going same direction. Hard to tell if it is off centered or not with only obverse photo.

As of right now it is a nice MAD.

And "MAD" = misaligned die. This occurs when one die (typically the hammer die) is out of alignment and strikes one face sightly off center. To determine if a coin is simply a MAD, as opposed to an off centered strike, in which both sides of the coin are off centered to the same extent. (To further complicate things, you can have a coin which has misaligned dies on both sides -- this is still not an off centered strike.)

ok thank you I will try to remember that. I really appreciate all the information and this forum is awesome! I'm just learning about coins and errors and usually spend my time hunting for artifacts rather than coins but where I live the river level is way too high although I do now plan on buying a metal detector to take artifact hunting and a few years back some friends of mine were hunting on some low areas of land and they found some pretty old coins that were silver I believe 1800s silver dollar and 2 silver half dollars and a silver dime
Rest in Peace

Oregon Mike. that is quite an impressive MAD. If it had been more off so that some details were cut off it may be called a Broadstrike

It would be nice to see the reverse as well. If normal it is a MAD coin. (Miss-Aligned-Die issue)
