I'm not sure which kind of doubling this is, but it sure
is pretty to look at. I tried the best I could for close ups
to see it better, but I am not that good with picture taking, but I did notice
on the back of the coin it appears to have some sort of crack
through the T in United. Any suggestions as what kind of
doubling this is? I would appreciate any help possible.
Thank you.

I can't see any doubling either. Sometimes the way the lights and shadows land on the coin looks like doubling, and sometimes it just doesn't quite come through in the pictures. Can you tell us specifically where you see doubling? So far it looks like a normal coin.

I don't see any doubling. I believe you're seeing the effects of the lighting. I do agree that you have a nice die crack on the reverse. That is a common spot to see them -- from the rim to the left corner of the memorial.

On LIBERTY you can see die trails from the left side of the devices on that area. These are not a doubled die, but a different form of die alteration.

Okay thank you everyone. I had taken these pictures in natural lighting does that have an effect on the device?

You do have an issue with a lot of glare on your images. By block the light with a curtain of even plastic grocery bag platic, it will reduce the glare. You can make a curtain with a wire hanger bent a bit.
Small-Date-1982-Possible-Double-Die?
After this hanger is bent, you can put a plastic grocery bag (or two if light is too strong) onto the hanger. Place the curtain between the light source and the coin to remove the glare. Often when most take images of what they would like to show, they put the light pointing in that direction. The problem is that the glare turns that area all white. Preventing us from seeing what you see. So using this curtain you make, then it will remove the glare, but allow some light through. Also if you allow the light to fall across the area in question, rather than directly on that area, it can be seen easier. A single light source is best for micro photos. This creates light and shadows. With two lights, it creates false shadows on the devices. Even an unwanted light from a window or room light can be an issue. But with a facial tissue or something to block the light from the coin, this can be prevented from happening on your images.

But I spotted the trails on the NW side of the tops on LIBERTY.

Thank you Coop. I'm going to try again in different lighting and see if there is any difference.
I most likely am thinking I'm seeing something that isn't there.
