Hi,
1st time sending items to be certified and just wondering what the typical turnaround times would be with CCCS?
Thanks

ICCS pretty consistent with 2 weeks on their $12 tier. However my last 100+ coin tier took more than 12 weeks as opposed to the usual 6-8 which I found to be unreasonable. Although I have not sent any coins to CCCS in the last two years, me experience prior to that was the amount of time to turn coins around under the normal tier was unreasonable (over 6 weeks). In all fairness to CCCS, maybe the current turnaround times are better.

From what very little experience I have have with certified coins I find that cccs has longer turn around times but I find that cccs grading is more consistent. (At least in my opinion.)

I hate ICCS soft holders and want to get a bunch of theirs put in CCCS hard holders. Nice to get the info on turn around times.

Just an interesting insight and observation from a recent NGC submission. In Orlando at the recent ANA Money show we submitted some nice German and Italian coins graded around the turn of the century (2002/3) in ICCS flips. So all two letter. NGC accepted them in the flips and said that they would be graded as if raw coins. The six pieces came back as 4 upgrades , one downgrade , and one as NGC genuine Cleaned. Not sure what to make of it , but the coins are now going to be more easily saleable in the NGC holders. There could be an excellent opportunity for some one in the grading industry to reslab ICCS coins.

Apitrix and I have had a submission of 100+ there for around 6 weeks...should be fun to see how much longer that takes

Pacificoin...Agreed...The only risk there is that ICCS pretty much disregards hairlines and often cleaning where NGC/PCGS are generally strict in that area.

Heads up, just received my 30+ certified CCCS bills. Sent our April 2 2017, arrived at CCCS April 4th. Sent out from CCCS April 25th, arrived April 27th. 3-week turnaround, not bad at all!
Comparing my personal (non-professional) grading to theirs, here are the results on the 32 bills I sent: 16 were graded higher (than my personal grading) 7 matched exactly 9 were graded lower
Also worth noting: - 2 came back with wrong holders (accidentally switched serial numbers/bill information) - a Graded PMG 64 that I took out of a holder returned as a CCCS UNC-63
There's my report for what its worth :) Thanks for reading.

I find ICCS and CCCS with about the same turn around times I just sent some coins to PCGS for grading on the 6th of April and just got a email from PCGS yesterday that they have been graded and sent out for delivery not bad either with a 4 day holiday in that time span.

@ Pacificoin. Quote: Just shows, markets and lots of travel. Wow, you can make that much on coins selling at flea markets and traveling by car/plane to shows. I need to get into the selling business I guess.
