A buddy found this in a box lot of foreign (non-USA) notes. Can anyone identify the year of issue, grade (ratty!), and estimated value? Thanks in advance.

Gene

It is a CTC S11-C (F) I believe, manufactured by British American Banknote Company. Nice curio. Uncirculated you might get 4 or 5 bucks Canadian for it. In that condition, just face value is my guess. I'm not a CTC expert, just interested in them, so take my opinion for what it's worth.
Cool though.

edit: Forgot to mention year of issue: 1989.

The date of issue can be found on the reverse,at the top, to the left of that center fold.

Yeah, I thought there is always a date on those somewhere.

If that's an 1989, I have 3 or 4 unc ones.

Here's one I got on a family road trip in the 1970s.

Hi GregAlex,

That note is from the CTC S04 series, issued in 1974. That particular note has an UNC book value of up to $8 (2020 edition). It is also an example of a series that did not have a date.
