I was looking through some coins for my mom and came across this one. Is this of any value? I tried to google it but came up empty handed.
Thanks!

No. No additional value. Still worth face and only good as spending money. That "B" is post mint damage... someone punched it into the coin for some reason.

Side note: first post in I don't know how many years.

Cool find! I would keep it, but as Groszy said, no extra value, just PMD.

to CCF. It is called a counter struck coin. No added value.

It's a counterstamped coin. Some people collect them and are willing to pay a small premium for them.

Here's a link to another thread on the topic. http://goccf.com/t/98449

If you enter "counterstamp" into the search box (upper left) you will find that there are a lot of threads on the subject.
