Looks like a chunk was clipped out rather than the more commonly seen ding. And it looks like it happened recently given the color of the metal at the clip.

VF sharpness, but a big rim problem and rubbed in the fields, especially on the obverse, to remove dark toning. The rim problem is the bigger problem.

Mid VF details, that's not a rim ding, that's a part of the rim chunked out and missing.

Personally I'd grade it F-15 details.

Edit: Actually scratch that I'll go VF-20 details.

The rim problem is not just a problem, it basically kills this coin.
