An AE2 from Siscia 1st officina for Theodosius I ( 379 - 395)
DN THEODOSIUS P F AUG : : pearl-diademed,draped and cuirassed bust right
REPARATIO REIPUB : Theodosius standing left, raising kneeling woman wearing turreted crown, holding Victory on globe , in exergue : ASISC
RIC IX 26c.1 : struck AD 378-383 .
The engraver of this die placed the woman's leg outside the scene's border what I never saw on a coin of this period . albert

That's a nice one, Albert. It looks to me like the woman's back leg and foot dips down into the exergue at the left end of everything.

It was astute of you to pick up on that. It does seem singular in that respect. Victory also appears to rather unnecessarily impinge upon the periphery where the legend would be placed. I wonder if the device as a whole was originally intended for a larger coin, and despite being oversized was nevertheless adapted for use with this smaller flan.
