I believe I'm now posting to the right list? This pic is a snapshot of what I believe are the error wheat pennies in my grandparent's collection. Not exactly sure what to do these. Are error coins gradable, and/or do errors have add or detract from any of their value?

Yes some the the ones you have posted are worth more. I tried to zoom in on your pics but did not help to see what you have. If you want too find out more do an individual pic of each, like the clipped ones.

the coin community! You've posted this in the correct area. We'd need close-up pictures of each coin to determine whether or not that they are valuable. For future reference, a "doubled mintmark" (written on some of your coin flips) is usually referred to as an RPM ( Re Punched Mintmark) A coin that is missing a digit ("Missing 4" written on some of your coin flips) Is usually referred to as a Grease Filled Die, or 'greaser.'

@NHcoinster, nice collection! Quote: do errors have add or detract from any of their value? If a particular coin has a true mint error (as opposed to damage after leaving the mint), then I believe it either would add to the value or at the very least not affect the value. That said, with well-worn, common date LWCs, you are only talking a base value of a few cents so there isn't much downside.

I feel that none of these coins would be worth grading. I figure a coin should be in the $100+ range before they need to be graded.

They all appear to be small clips.. I would be interested to see the UNC 55 with up close photos of both sides .. and possibly the two RPMs to see which ones they are..

Here's one of the two with weird mint marks. Its a 1956 D. Sorry that you can't really see it well, but there's definitely a 2nd D

I blew up the OP's pic. It is grainy, but I'm not sure I see much doubling:

And here's another poorman's double with a cracked skull. The poorman's shift is a bit more pronounced in this one.

First 55 is nice looking.. If you can see the double mint on the 56 I'm guessing its probably the MM - 01 which is pretty nice looking RPM
