More importantly, the lettering looks modern and suspect. If this wasn't purchased from a reputable dealer who specializes in such, I'd have serious concerns to begin with. After going through this exercise myself, I consider that this example is fake, unfortunately. Style and exact type with straight vertical lettering do not match. It may be the lighting, but the coin pictured seems to have a brownish tinge in parts, suggesting some sort of copper alloy beneath the surface. Report this Post to the Staff

oleg212 Valued Member Canada 66 Posts	Posted 05/07/2017 12:27 pm i actually dont remember where I got it from. ive had it for a few years when I got my first bulk lot of coins I wanted for my collection, which had some other coins, this one included. so I guess it wasnt technically a dealer.
