hey, I have a coin that I cant identify. it has what I think is a face cause if you turn it 90 degrees, it looks like a scenery instead. can someone help me identify it? thanks!

Echizento and Finn are the authorities on these Sassanian types, but I think it may be Khusro I.

Sassanian Empire! (The rev has a fire altar.) Nice coin, but I don't like the look of all those staples. You should consider flattening them.

heh, thanks Spence! but why flatten them? would they damage the coin in some way?

Those bulging steel staples could rub against (and scratch) the face of adjacent coin if you store your 2x2s in box. If you put the 2x2s in an album, the edge of the staple can hook the plastic film of the album and damage that. If you use the key words 'staple' and 'flatten' on the CCF search function, you will find many threads that discuss this issue, along with potential solutions. Here is one of my favorites:

Bob is correct it is a drachm of the Sasanian king Khusro I, your reverse iamge is up side down.
