The wicker basket/torch reverse and B/VZ/AN/T/I-omega/N in the reverse field suggest Byzantium, Thrace.

Edit: I assumed the reverse letters in the fields to be BVZANTI-omega-N...but see now that the Z is an I. Perhaps an misspelling by the engraver?

To the community.

I believe it's Septimius Severus.

I can't place it but, for comparison, reverses of a medallion of Caracalla and Geta, left, and an AE of Severus Alexander, right. Both from Byzantium, Thrace.

On the line next to the T we can see how the celator represented upper case Iota. I think the thing with the crossbars is an oddly made uncial Zeta.
