The key is "ACID FREE PAPER - NO PVC". That makes them safe.
But the 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" size annoys me. You want 2" x 2" at least. And if you have silver dollar sized coins you want 2½" x 2½".

Thank you much, just wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the sizing tips :)
This description still confuses my though - I usually use 2x2 cardboard/mylar that I staple.
What is correct?
"Flips, also called soft vinyl flips or PVC flips, are commonly used by dealers to sell coins and by some grading services when people submit coins to them because they make it easy and safe to insert and remove coins from them and because they're inexpensive. However, regular flips are unsafe for long-term coin storage.
Flips consist of PVC (polyvinylchloride, also known as vinyl), stabilizers (to prolong life), and plasticizers (to soften the plastic). Plasticizers mixed with the PCV can damage coins over time, causing PVC damage, which looks like green goo. Damage occurs faster when flips are exposed to excessive heat (above 85 degrees F.), humidity, sunlight, and mechanical bending. Early PVC damage can be removed with acetone. More severe PVC damage can corrode a coin's surfaces, causing permanent damage. On the other hand, some collectors have stored their coins in regular soft flips for decades without damaging them.
Still, it's only smart to play the percentages. If you buy a coin in a soft vinyl flip, you should remove it and place it in another storage medium. One rule of thumb is that no coin should sit in a soft flip for more than six months."

I don't like flips at all. I think the coin moves around in them and causes scratches and rubs. 2x2 for me all the way. John1

@ John1 Quote: moves around in them and causes scratches and rubs That is what I was thinking. I am only bringing this up because I ran out and was going to order another lot and ran across these. So didn't know which to get this time around.

I started out using Saflips (made from PET - no PVC) and while I like not using staples, there are a couple things I don't like about them.
As John1 said, the coin moves around and it's nearly impossible to keep them oriented correctly. Also, when they are in 20-pocket pages, you either can't see one side at all (if you have a paper insert) or one side is very hard to see because you're looking through four layers of thick plastic. They are also expensive.
I have pretty much switched to cardboard 2x2s since then and actually need to order some more.

I agree. You can remove them easier, but it seems like they can get fingerprints on them easier in flips. So 2X2's have always been my choice method.

for all the reasons stated above and 2x2's are easier for storage too.

I wouldn't use any product with 'vinyl' in the title for coins of any value. Surely the manufacturer should know better than to call them 'Vinyl' Coin Flips.

The only thing I use flips for is to store my RPM/DDO / DDR's in. I cut them in two, use insert for info then use a small piece of tape to close it with. This allows for more storage of items in cardboard trays, 2-3 times as many as 2x2's. I also can open up and check/replace my sample without destroying any. Now for coins, 2x2s all the way. Any info/ID is on along with grade/value. If is in a series or collection, get fancy and use Brother label maker for sharp looking set up.

Thank you all for chiming in. I'll stick with my 2x2's.
