Based on the suggestions from others here (and their pictures), I have begun switching all my bullion series from Ziplock bags or other mediums over to CAPS pages. This has worked well for most of my series. I have a CAPS page (or pages) for all my series that have at least 10 years (Libertad, Maple Leaf, Koala, Kookaburra, Rwanda Wildlife, etc.). I have been trying to figure out how to deal with my 1 oz world silver type set. I am loose with my rules on this set and it has both series and one off type coins. As long as the coin is 1 oz silver, I might include it. But I can't do CAPS pages for this set, because the set changes so constantly. I add new coins all the time. I want the coins to have some sort of order (if a country has multiple coins, I want them to be in proximity to one another). As an example of the problem, if I had ordered a CAPS for my current set just two months ago, it would already be ruined (using my criteria above) because Australia decided to make a Swan coin. I had to find another solution where I could simply move the coins around...which until I find something better, is Encaps. But I could not get past the lack of labeling ability on Encap pages. So I decided to try to use old scratched up airtites and round labels. I printed them and threw them in the Encaps. Now if I decide to throw in a new coin, I just have to move everything one down. The only downside is that I can only get 9 coins to a page (10 if I don't title the page). So my current collection of 45 type coins takes 5 pages. You will only see 43 coins in the pictures because there are two I don't have yet, but will soon. But I am stuck with another dilemma. I also collect all the lunar series 1 oz silver. The Australia Lunar II series is too large in diameter for CAPS, but all the other series are perfect for CAPS. I hate to split a theme between two different methods of storage. Not sure what to do yet. Maybe all Encaps in that case. If anyone has any suggestions for displaying all the world lunar series, I would love to hear them. Thanks

Thanks Jbuck I do wish they looked better though. I need a larger airtite to keep the wording from rotating on the sticker circles. I also apparently did not center the paper in the printer very well. . I continue the search for a good methodology to highlight an ever changing collection. Hopefully someone will post pictures on day and I will have an aha moment.

I also use the ENCAP pages for all of my 2 Euro commems. To get around the labeling problem, I use a sheet protector between each page with a piece of black paper, as well as a sheet I made a grid for in Excel that mirrors the number of capsules placed on the back side. Basically ends up being a book with labels gridded out on the lefthand page and the capsules on the right. I'll try to get a picture or two up this evening. Really like the capsule pages sitting over a black background.

crazyglue, I think an advantage of your approach is that you are able to tweak and improve it with minimal effort. I look forward to revisiting this thread in the future as you showcase how far you had progressed.

This is how I've "labeled" the ENCAP pages for a few different types of coins. I color code the printout with green if the coins are located elsewhere like a coincard or mint set, and red if I don't have them yet.

Jbuck- thanks for the kind words! Iowa Wade-- that looks great! You are right, the black background makes it look much better. Photographs better as well, I imagine. I had not thought of labeling an opposite page- what a great idea! That would get me back to having 20 coins per page instead of 9. I have to really ponder this, thanks again for uploading the photos!

That's a nice setup you have there, Iowa Wade. I like your system.
@crazyglue, something like that would definitely get you a higher density of coins/page.

Thanks. I do have to reprint the pages occasionally, but that's a small hassle. I'm still trying to think of a good method of handling capsules of different sizes on the same page. maybe a little dot of some sort of adhesive underneath.

I'm not sure this would work 100% of the time, but there are foam adapter rings to make up the space between the coin edges and the capsule in Air Tites. If you pick your largest size, buy all your capsules at that size, and then adapter rings as necessary.

I'm tempted to give that a try. Never bought any before because the rings looked kinda spongy and I was always a little worried about them deteriorating inside the capsule.

I use the airtites and the ENCAP pages. it works out pretty well. I don't label the big coins (e.g. 1 oz silver types) but as far as the smaller coins.... Well, I printed the year and mint on Avery labels, sliced each one out using a razor then carefully applied to the edge of the airtite. I experimented with it on the back but I couldn't allow the reverse to be obscured. Did this for all of my Kennedy's (full set) and my 1999-current business strike quarters (all mint marks).

Oh, and I also keep a spreadsheet of everything which I print out periodically and place the respective pages with the correct collection...

@crazyglue....WOW Not sure how I missed popping in on this thread until today! Just didn't see it but I do like your set up! I know it's tough to keep everything consistent in the ever changing 1 oz. world silver bullion genre. You have an amazing type set going there! I haven't bought any of the Encaps pages yet as I am TRYING to stay with the CAPS set up strictly for consistency but as you mentioned there are challenges with those. The new Swan you mentioned is a prime example. But it is a nice coin. Your Encap set up looks GREAT~! I have some blank CAPS pages. I am pretty sure just new bullion releases for 2017 so far this year would about fill a full page, or at least close to it in a few more months. I am tempted to just start filling one and see how far I get. @Iowa Wade.....that looks awesome also! Thanks for posting the pictures. I like the printed sheet idea. Coin operator. We would love to see your pics too! @crazyglue....I look forward to seeing more pics soon of your pretty amazing collection!!
