I am very puzzled about the difference between the two coins: liard from Luxembourg and liard from Namur.
Krause sais: "This coin is very similar to the same coin struck for Namur. The only difference is that this coin has the Luxembourg shield on the obverse, instead of the Namur shield, which has no lines behind the lion."
What lines is he referring to?

I have the impression this is the Namur coin. The obverse image is quite small I am afraid. The obverse is the side with the ruler's name: MAX(imilian) EM(anuel) of Bavaria. The Namur shield (or the one from Luxemburg on Luxemburgian coins) is the lowest of the 3 shields.
