I Have this coin. Which looks similair to Carolingian coins to me. I also bought it in France. Unfortunatly I can't place this one myself. Even though I collect Carolingian coins for years now.

Monogram in middle Louis 10th century? . A C M A G A I?
Reverse Cross and C A O I O C A

Could me some local imitation? Or Lotharius type degenere?

Vince, have you looked at the comte (county) de Carcassonne? The reverse is in bad shape, but it reminds me of some issues from there.
