I have quite a large collection of Libyan banknotes, and I was wondering if they were legal tender still? And could be exchanged? I can't seem to find any information about it online.

I have a collection of 224 Banknotes, in varying conditions but most are pretty good with a few creases and folds. I have 1,5, 10 Dinars 2004 Issue 6 (170 banknotes) and 5,10,50 Dinars 2008 Issue 7, (54 banknotes)

If these are not legal tender, would I be better selling them individually, or all as one lot?

I have 2000 Libyan Dinar in banknotes here.

Many thanks in advance.

You're probably best off by putting them on ebay, singles or pairs.

It's my understanding that any notes with pictures of Gadaffi on them are no longer legal tender; they're collector value only. Libyans were given until 15 March 2012 to exchange them.

Thanks, I didn't know they were not legal tender.
I'll have a go at listing them in pairs :)
