1947-S LWC, Not Sure What To Make Of This, Lamination?

I ran across this Lincoln Cent the other day and I am not real sure what is going on here. I did a quick search of lamination but I am not seeing anything like this. Have you seen something similar? Is this a Lamination error?

It looks like there either was or still is glue on the coin (or both).

That would explain the color difference, position and shape.

Maybe you can try pure acetone to remove anything remaining.

I get mine from the Wal-mart paint section (Klean Strip 1 qt.). It can be found at hardware stores also.

I don't think it will increase any value or anything but, at least maybe you can get any remaining gunk off. The colors will still be what they are. Consider it an acetone experiment. That's a good one to practice on.
