It looks like nothing like an ear. The doubled ears should match the shape of an ear. They would be created by the hub that would make that shape. So the doubled size should be the normal size of an extra lobe.:

That would not be a doubled ear.. it looks to be a planchet stain or PMD .. You will often find planchet stains on cent coins .. if you had a doubled die ear it would be similar in shape to the original ear.. in this case the lower lobe..

I'm still trying very hard to bring myself to search through the shield cent coins.. when they first came out I was determined to not like them.. I'm thinking its because I was so focused and trained on what to look for on the Memorial cent reverse.. but I keep seeing all of these great new finds .. going to have to give in and start loving them..LOL .. if you have a 2015 doubled ear Lincoln its unlisted ..

There is a 2015 cent that does have something going on at the bottom of the ear lobe on one die pair. I don't really think the one I have is a doubled die just a slightly damaged die. I have found several of them but have never seen them referenced anywhere. The photos above I don't think match the one that I have seen. Still Lookin

I have several of these that I pulled out in 2015 that all match so it is an issue with the die. I am not sure if this coin is the same as the original listing. Still Lookin
