Finn235 Pillar of the Community United States 6130 Posts	Posted 05/12/2017 4:12 pm A long time ago, I won an "uncleaned" lot from a guy who thought he had a good racket by selling piles of cull LRBs with a couple nicer coins in the mix. The nicer coins included a Galba and a Sassanian drachm, so I could have cared less about the culls. I did save the couple that caught my eye, including this one that I hoped would magically become one of those Vandal coins with a wreath. Saw it in a different light today, and it clicked: Messembria, Thrace Either an AE12 or the core of a fourree Helmet facing / Wheel with M-E-T-A in quadrants, spokes radiating outward Not the prettiest thing, but at least now I know!
