Looks interesting. Did you purchase as pure gold/silver bars? If not, what is the gold/silver contents in bars?

Nice pick ups!

Did the seller attribute them? If not:

1. 1 shu gin, Ansei era?
2-3. 1 bu gin, can't ID without the other side
4. 2 shu kin, most probably Tempo era.

The first two should be silver, between .968 and .876 pure, last one is highly debased gold, about .290 pure, with the balance being silver.

The denominations worked as follows:

4,000 mon (cash) = 16 shu = 4 bu = 1 Ryo

1 Ryo was initially quite large and valuable, but upon decimalization in 1870, it had the equivalent gold of a US gold dollar, so the exchange was roughly 1:1.

The bars in fantastic conditions for being 200+ years old. Patina seems unrealistically new, IMHO.
