Another nautical theme. Man approaching Britannia holding out something (not sure) with a peg leg.

Love it.
Possibly a petition for pension rights for those maimed in the service of their country?

Speaking of 'Nautical' I have a 1791 Liverpool (my home town!) halfpenny which features a sailing ship, but its not in a grade I'd bother sharing here and the token can easily be viewed on Google images.

Is this a precursor to the Help for Heroes campaign? In 1794 the British army fought a campaign in Flanders, which was a disaster. Wounded troops would have been discharged from the army and many reduced to begging. The object in the man's hand is a petition.

The dress of the man looks more like sailor than a soldier to me. The regular army coat at that time would have had open-fronted lapels and long tails, rather than being level all round at the bottom.

From Bell, diesinker was Arnold, manufacturer Lutwyche, 4cwt struck.
