This coin seemed to have some meat on it for $37. Nice reverse Cud also. I think its an S-255 late die state. Reverse has some corrosion but net grade should be around G-4 or 6? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1803-DRAPED...p=true&rt=nc

yes I did. Pics were not great but I could sort of zoom in with my mac and see some decent detail remaining.

Looks vg with env damage in reverse from what I can see.

Be careful about buying these "pigs in a poke." The close-up pictures are too dark to see anything, and the others are upside down. Why do sellers post upside down pictures? It's been my experience that it's easier to hide something.

In the old days they were hiding condition flaws. Now they could be hiding counterfeit. I'm not saying this is bad for sure, but don't assume that it's good either.

Problem coins are cheap because there are fewer buyers at any price. Corrosion on early copper is common, which is why truly good examples are hard to find.

that is true moxking but most lower priced coins of this type are a lot worse on e-bay. Took a shot. Might make or lose a few bucks.

well the most I can lose is $41 if I get nothing when selling this coin. Not likely.
