I can't figure out what if this is post mint damage or not. The vertical and horizontal lines seem to follow the design but I'm not sure if I'm overthinking it or not.

I had 2 nickels set a side like that I will have to look and see if there 2002-D I know the the 2 I have are Ds date unsure of if I still have them I will post them

Hi,

If indented, It is either a scratch or a very minor strike through error. I can't tell from the picture. If raised, it may be damage that moved the metal from the upper left side of the roofline to the position it is in now. That would be like the slanted 1, 1941 cents we sometimes see that is actually damage from counting machines.
