Normal reverse. Not the location of the 'M'? The device is not centered between the 'A & E'. On the wide "AM" they are centered. Of to the left on the Close (normal) AM for this year.

When a coin gets crud on it like that, it can make the A & M appear to be farther apart.
The surfaces of the devices are narrower than the bases.
