So I was looking to fill some of the slots in my nickels and indian heads. Walked into a local shop and found some of what I was looking for. Just wantes to see if first, I did ok with what I spent. Second, see if anyone would mind giving me a good guess on a grade for them. Third, just to ask if it would be an issue to swap them over to new mylar flips? Nickels 1938s - $3.00 1938d - $4.00 1939d - $9.50 Indian heads 1906 - $5.00 1907 - $4.00 1898 - $1.50 Total - $27.00

Nice pick ups. all coins a nice circulated mid grades. You did just fine for the money you spent , and yes take them out of those rusted staple 2x2's and put them in flips or new 2x2 holders .

Not too shabby, I can get well circulated 5 Jeff key dates for $19 + shipping, $1.75- $2.50 common date Indians in G-F's, so you did well. That 38D & 38S are in great condition, but hurry and get rid of those staples!. Been thinkinking I ought to start using those self-seal 2x2, especially for the nicer keepers.

Nice work! With regard to new 2x2s, if you decide to use the ones that you staple shut, you absolutely should flatten those staples (unlike the last guy who put these into their 2x2s).

Just a dumb question - why would you use the 2X2s that require staples?

Quote: why would you use the 2X2s that require staples Because I have piles of them... I didn't even realize they had self sealing ones when I bought them. And I guess I have nightmares about the self sealing ones not sealing... There isn't much room around a morgan for some sticky stuff to adhere on a 2x2, and what will the adhesive do to a silver coin if it slips down into it? I have seen many of them that didn't adhere properly. Also, as long as you keep stuff dry (shouldn't be hard) the staples wont rust. And spend $10 on a flat cinch stapler and I don't know why you would use anything else...

They have a few Stone mountain half dollars in great shape for a good price. Will most likely pick up 2 or 3 of tbem today. I live 5mins from stone mountain so I think tbey will be a nice addition.
