Hi Everyone!
I was recently rummaging through some of my grandfather's old collectibles and happened to stumble upon an interesting find from his younger years- what appears to be a 1943 George VI Brass Three Pence with (what I believe to be) some form of minting error on the edge of the coin. The error is much more notable on the reverse of the coin, but there is definitely some overlap on the obverse. Unfortunately, the darker discoloration of the coin seems to be a giveaway that its seen some circulation/oxidation damage despite the sealed storage container I found it in. I've browsed the net for any notable 1943 George VI errors but the most I could find was a passing mention of lamination errors. Is it worth my time to submit this coin for grading? Thanks for your time and thoughts.

I would think this to be PMD.

I think it's a vise job - someone pressed another coin against it.

Yep, letters pressed INTO coin and backwards - but somebody cranked that vice a little too hard!

I agree with the others. If you have a vise, have a bit of fun experimenting with a few worthless foreign change coins yourself.
