Hello fellow numismatics.
I have 2 coins which aren't easy to identify because of its grade. I am guessing they are silver.
I would appreciate your opinion if those are genuine and what exactly they are.
Thank you

Poland 3 groschen (I think) 1660 and England 2 pence (date looks like 1675).

The Maundy series from Charles II's reign have a funny denomination system - there are exactly as many C letters in the monogram as there are pence in the denomination. The monogram on the 3 pence looks a lot like a radiation symbol.
(I think the penny just has the one C - not sure. Fairly sure about 2, 3 and 4 though.)

Both coins look geniune to me (though mostly because they're too common to fake - especially the Polish one), and both are indeed silver, but in such damaged condition, neither would be worth very much (maybe a few dollars each).

january1may has otherwise said it all.

numismatics: the study of coins
numismatist: a person who studies coins

(I forgive you anyway )
Those who go before me are numistmatists.

No, you're right, it might be Austrian. It was worn, and looked a lot like some Polish coins I've seen, but the place where I thought it said Poland might actually say Leopold.

I'll try to look it up later.

EDIT: appears to be Breslau, Silesia, Bohemia. Um, I guess that's in Poland now?
Took me a while to find a match though - not on Numista, apparently not on NGC, and not in Krause preview (the page is missing).

Silesia is in Poland but at that time it was ruled by Habsburgs. Leopold I was the ruler therefore it would be a match. It's great to learn I have such old addition to my collection from my own country and the other one from the country I live in
