Hello.
Obvious double image on both side of the coin. Is it a double die or something? Is it common in 1972

Cannot tell by the images. They will have to be better lit and far closer to the coin.

Hi,

The reverse shows Machine Doubling and the obverse shows what is called Die Deterioration Doubling.

I have a picture of a real 1972 DDO Kennedy at

http://www.askaboutcoins.com/double...edy-a20.html

Click on the link at the bottom of the picture and then click with the mouse over the picture to enlarge it.

On the 1972 DDO Kennedy, there is strong doubling and separation particularly on TRUST. There is also doubling on GOD that is not present on your coin. There is no doubt that your coin is not a doubled die on either side but checking my article may help you to see what you should be looking for.

Thanks,
Bill
