@meghanshue, first welcome to CCF. Second, you coin is almost certainly a real dime that was plated by someone after it left the mint. As such it is pretty to look at, but has a value of 10 cents. You can save it if you like looking at it, or spend it! With regard to the potentially missing mintmark, this article may be of some interest:
