Beefer518 Pillar of the Community United States 887 Posts	Posted 05/29/2017 3:53 pm I got this in a grab bag of stuff, and I have my doubts as to it's authenticity. It's supposed to be silver, 31.1 grams, but this coin weighs in at 26 (scale only does full grams). I don't really care if it's real, but if it isn't, why would anyone go through the effort to make these fake? I mean 1 oz of silver is <$18US, not worth the time IMO. It's not magnetic, but I do see some other color coming through at an edge (see pic 2). The edges are plain, no lettering or reeding. Report this Post to the Staff

Look just after the big "2007 & 2008" line. (Sadly he does not give the weight for the clad type. But Numista gives the weight of the Northern Mariana version as 26.68 grams; presumably this one is similar.) Not supposed to be silver (bronze with a thin silver plating).
