Face of the nickel is normal. On the back side, Monticello is barely visible, mostly just an outline of the building and some of the entrance. None of the words are legible. Edge of the coin is rounded.

Damaged after strike. Orbital sander is my guess. A belt sander tends to leaves a different pattern. Thanks, Doug.
