I thought the 1929 ones were left facing?

This is the problem. The year 1929 must be left facing.

The pictures show an obverse of a 1923 coin and reverse of a 1929.

This is one coin. I just cannot figure out, why the obverse and the reverse are from different versions?

That is strange. At first all I had come up was the one picture of the right facing obverse so I thought 1923 - now the reverse picture just loaded and it is from the 1929 left facing reverse.

If that is one coin you have, check the edges and rims to see if one coin might have been hollowed out to insert the other. This has been done with other coins.

I checked the edges. It looks legitimate to me. I already sent a letter to the Grand Egyptian museum. May be they can help me.

An Egyptian Magician's coin for some reason? I would weigh it - should be 28 grams.

Would be super cool if somehow that was a mule.
The weight is a good sign. Good luck and keep us posted what happens.
