I have been using this service for the last several months now.....but no more for raw coins. Lately, the coins I am sending in to TPG are either coming back 2-3 grades below what is stated in the auction I expect that and I grade for my self (pretty darn close to actual too). However, what gets me now is that for an auction site that boasts having one of the "Highest Internet Ratings" why are 80-90 percent of the coins I am submitting coming back cleaned from several TPG's. Has anybody else had similar experiences, if I go to their auctions again it will be only for slabbed coins from the main three
Rest in Peace

Vambuyer: I take it your using them either directly or through Proxibid.com, correct? I also use various other auction houses on Proxibid butr have shied away from a Silver city auctions there for two reasons. Their prices (winning bids) are generally higher than others around and I didn't like how they showed their lots, seemed overrated by them. Also unsure if shills used there, most likely if on-site bidding allowed. Wasn't too crazy (Hey!) about their fees either.

What I've found on Proxibid is actually more my cup of tea. I can't afford the high $ on stuff like you're buying to submit. I've calmed down from the past two "Fast and Furious" years of buying what hit me to more targeted bidding, at or a tad above melt on foreign silver which is one area of interest now plus holes in US 7070 Type Set. One outfit, Black and Gold Auctions has had a few really decent coin auctions...they're local, get a 10% BP. Over the last few years will have 1-2 per year. If you ever cruse them and see something, let me know, might be able to pickup for ya, save %5 and higher shipping. Last auction was selling an estate foreign coin collection by the country in vinyl pages, got some decent ones, couldn't afford 'em all,...

Want me to contact youif I see any possibilities on Morgan/Peace or others?

Didn't Silver City used to be Silvertowne? I bought a few things from them through Auctionzip.

They still go by that name; but if you call them it is even a more different name.
