You already have too many of them, there's no rational reason to have another one, BUT, you just can't help yourself.

I really like those old canoe dollars, DBM. I have one that is a couple decades newer, but that '35 is much cooler!

When abroad, I usually buy anything Norwegian and Dutch I can put my hands on. My 'law' that the average price of a coin is determined by rarity times demand and then divided by the number of miles it is from home still holds. Today I bought a nice 50 Øre from 1877. Those coins usually go for 40 to 50 dollar or so in Norway, depending on the condition. I paid $3.25 for it today...

I go through phases of infatuation, Morgans, Peace dollars . . But lately it's been Vickies. Anything with Queen Victoria. Cents, Half Cents, farthings, pence, half crown, florian . . whatever. The sharper her image on the coin, the more my wallet is willing to open . .
Rest in Peace

Gone through stages(as funds permitted). First was wheat cents, now have 25,000 that just won't sell for nothin'. Then it was small to medium world silver coins and to a degree, still tugs now and then. Latest is bidding on Shield nickels, maybe, just maybe I'll get a super variety...ya, I know, riiiggghhhtt!
