Question for the group:

How dou you house/protect your new purchases? -specifically When you purchase a new coin that is already in a 2x2--and is usually written on, do you keep them in that holder or re-house them in new ones ?

What other methods do you use?

For the most part, everyone has a different method of labeling, most prefer clean 2x2 instead of whiteout, etc. or depends on what media you use, a folder, an album, vinyl pages or other fancier means of storage. I like clean, start fresh approach.

Agree with 999fine, I always re-package my new coin to match my writing on all the rest. Then you get the memory from when you put it there.

If it came in a plastic flip ,I remove it , give an Acetone wash if it warrants . Then it goes into a new 2x2 cardboard holder . Depending on what coin it is ,most then goes into vinyl page loose leaf books .

Unless a slab or OGP I plan to keep intact, I remove them from whatever it is in (cardboard 2x2 or vinyl flip), photograph, then put in a Dansco album (to fill a hole) or a new cardboard 2x2.
