Hello to the forum. I am 62 years old and just starting to collect. I wish I had done this many years ago instead of fooling with sports cards. I seem to be buying stuff all over the map right now from silver coins to unopened rolls. Newer stuff like unopened 2017 rolls and boxes to older coins and rolls. So right now...I like everything! One of these days I may narrow my searches down but right now my interest are endless.
I'm looking forward to learning about this great hobby and meeting some great people. Thanks

I liked everything when I first started collecting, too. You'll find that your interest will narrow. Meanwhile, take the time to learn before buying anything too expensive.

Hi Bamacole. I am a new member too and can relate to liking and collecting everything! I have so far been unable to discriminate against any coin!

Welcome to CCF. It's okay to be all over the map right now. Buy some numismatic books, start with the Red Book. It will help you find what you like, then you can focus on those items. As the others have mentioned, don't buy anything expensive until you gain more knowledge. At that point you'll have to decide if you are collecting for pleasure (filling holes in albums) or with the intent of investment return later.
