Hi everyone. I picked up my first Morgan dollar at the show today. My pics aren't the greatest, but if you can guestimate the grade I'd be appreciative. Also, about how much should I have paid (hope I didn't overpay...). Thanks!

Retail for an xf40 1884-O morgan is $30 according to coinprices.org. Just the silver in a morgan is $13.60. You did well. Congrats!

That's good to know. I know that Morgan's are a breed all their own and I'm not familiar with them. I doubt I will ever have big money to spend for them, but they are certainly beautiful coins

You know, holding one of these in your hand, I can see why people get so carried away with them. It's a big coin and beautifully designed.
