That went to NGC? and is being auctioned? What's the qualifier here? Is there something to make it unique or even rare? The thing looks so oxidized that I couldn't begin to grade it.

With toning that far terminal state it should be details - environmental damage.

I'm a big fan of toning, but wow, this thing looks crusty!

I'll just give it a guess that it went MS64.

Well, truth be told, I'm the sucker that paid the $30 + fees ($34.50 total), out of curiosity. When I get it, I'll post more pics. I'm actually hoping that it's an interestingly toned coin, and that the lighting for the auction photoshoot wasn't complimentary. We'll see. If nothing else, I own a weird looking 1957 MS-65 FH!
