my province has just posted a notice. That there is a bunch of fake 10 dollars bill being pasted around. so check your money over closely. there will be Chinese writing on the bill. I do not have and image yet. I would image it will be in Mondays newspaper.

You can buy those on the no-no site in huge quantities for pennies per note.
Isn't there some sort of Chinese tradition where you gift someone with a pile of these? Anyone know for sure?

They're "hell" notes as known in Chinese culture. They're meant to be burned in a Bon fire at. Funeral.

Hell money is a different thing - this isn't it. heck money usually has ridiculously large denominations and not meant to look like real currency. Usually printed on low-quality paper too.

Yes, the funeral money is almost like tissue paper and has no resemblance to real money. They burn this at funerals in Thailand too.

These are training notes without serials, definitely not counterfeits. These are usually paper. Anyone tricked by these..... I have no words

Even though they are called "Training Notes" and made of paper,
They are still against ebay Policy to sell on their site.
