What would you grade my first 3CN? I bought this at the coin shop today for $23.
This is my first of hopefully many.
Thanks

I'm no good with these, but I'll say VF30-35 for fun.

I'd have to say a lower VF grade. The reason is because, even if it's mainly strike, the leaf tips seem all worn, the lines in the "III", look well worn, the bow has low detail, and the head looks VF20. The cheek doesn't appear to have worse than VF+ wear, though.

With all that said, I think this is a nice coin and you did fine. Keep an eye out for original materal and look at as many as you can. You'll be an expert grader on these in no time.

I believe this is a basic VF coin. Nice eye appeal, and a nice start to a 3CN collection.

VF20 -- you think it's been cleaned?

It doesn't look cleaned to me.

I don't see any evidence of cleaning from the photos provided.
