Hello, I ran across this today while looking through some coins and was wondering if anyone can tell me more about it and possibly give me a price range as to what it would cost. The coin was struck off center and seems to have some circle in the middle, I have no idea what may have caused that.
to the forum Yea, appears to have been whacked by a piece of 1/2 " cast pipe and a hammer, so much that reverse has bulged out, done a VERY long time ago, talking cast iron/steel pipe not conduit of today.
No, the off-center strike happened during minting. It's a very small degree so it wouldn't really command a premium even without the PMD.
