Both are nice! I would go with the one who can cook best, and has a good answer to why so many Americans can't locate the United States on a map. I of course, cast my vote for Miss Liberty 1885 of the USA. That other girl is gonna have some long earlobes in just a few years.

My vote is for Miss Liberty too. I'm so used to looking at Morgans, it makes me comfortable

Miss Liberty for me too (and she was designed by an Englishman!)

The one on the right looks like she'd be more fun.

I don't particularly like the Morgan portrait, but miss 1880 on the right here (who is she again? Prosperity?) clearly shows her age. If she was a real woman I'd say she would've been about fifty.

Maybe we should have a choice for ladies of CCF. Washington vs. Barber ?

@ Coconutjoe, hard to tell at a glance because she is so ugly but Liberty as portrayed on the Barber coins is female.

@DBM, Boy, do I feel silly. All these times, I though otherwise. I just read Barber series designs. Pretty fascinating how they held contest & Barber's rivalry with Saint Gaudens. Well, I learned something today, but you got to admit Barber's face is a bit masculine.

Yes ,those good old days when men were men and women were too. All three designers of the female portraits featured here were English emigrants, perhaps that's where they developed a similar taste.

The simple teenage beauty of the portrait of Queen Wihelmina on the coins of the Netherlands in the period of 1892 to 1897, is rather charming.
Unfortunately, the Gillick portraits on the coins of Queen Elizabeth 11 do not compliment her beauty, but her early portraits on the banknotes the British Commonwealth are quite effective.
