I've been struggling to identify this Roman coin. I believe it to be an antoninianus, possibly of Gordian III, but I can't find any of his coins with Concordia seated on the reverse. Can anyone tell me more about this coin?
And also his innocent look, if only he knew how things would end for him a few years later, poor kid.
Nice coin and nicely toned.
The ants of Gordian III are in abundance in high grades at relatively affordable prices which is great for collectors. Not often do you find gVF or EF coins in an accessible price range.
