What kind of coin is this? I bought it in a no date large cent lot. I bought it because I thought it might be something special.

(By the way, I took pictures using my new picture taking process by Wheatback...thank you WB!)

My first guess would be 2 liards from the Austrian Netherlands (made from 1781 to 1789), but this coin is extremely worn. Would you be able to provide a diameter for confirmation? The type I am thinking of is 27 millimetres.

Joseph, I think you nailed it. It has the diameter of a large cent, which is right there at 27mm.

Joseph is exactly right. The coin appears to be of Emperor Francis II.
