Epeiros (the Epirote Republic). Should be silver...can't really tell from the pic...is it?

The coin is similar to an AR didrachm from Epeiros circa 220's BC. Would like to see what the reverse looks like. I'm not convinced that it's genuine the edge looks a little odd to me.

@granparalph, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is an interesting piece that you have. It would be helpful if you included pics of the rev and edge of the coin.

Reverse pics would be helpful, but right now going off of Bob's picture it looks like the coin is fake. Sorry.

Thanks for the better pics, granparalph. Sadly, it's never a good thing when the shape of a supposedly ancient coin-in-hand appears to match that of a known fake...
