Who is going to the Summer Seminar? I will be attending week 1 and I'm taking the grading US coins class. This is my first time attending and I'm really excited about it.

I'd love to go if it was a couple thousand miles closer! Have fun.

How exciting CoinCollector2012!

I will be attending the show but just for a few hours.
Our coin club has chartered a bus for the trip.

You will love it. Remember though that some of the biggest names in numismatic in their respective fields will be there. It is as much about making connections and friendships as it is learning from your specific course.

PS: If you're taking grading 1 it's a good idea to take grading 2 the following week. If you can afford it and if you can stay the extra week.

I wouldn't bring more than a I could carry on my person at all times, CoinCollector2012. Leaving anything of value in an unoccupied hotel room over any period of time is a risk and there will be times when carrying a binder or two full of valuable coins is going to be difficult. It's entirely your choice and I admit I'm not a very trusting person, but I've "lost" enough small electronics, change and other items during my 25+ years of business travel to know you want to be very careful about leaving things in your room.
