Why is HSN still selling the now regular silver eagles as 2015 P mintage of 79640 for $4599. Didn't mike mezack got the news that yes 79640 were produce at Philadelphia but there's no way to verify which coins are those from philladelphia. The strap on the monster boxes with the mint tracking is only for quality control purposes not that those coins were minted in Philadelphia. In other words those philadelphia mint strap boxes are mixed with West point and Philadelphia coins. The tracking thing only means it was packaged and QC in Philadelphia. So there's gonna be more than 79640 coins slab as philadephia mint label cause the Philadelphia mint packaged them mixed. Will have been funny in a few months, people will be like aren't they supposed to be only 79640 of this. why that's it show 300,000+ in the NGC population report. Lol. Somebody tell Mike to stop it, others like MCM, APMEX etc have put them on hold for now. The usmint statement it's very clear. "The tracking is for quality control purposes, not to determined coins origin" I don't know why collectors are still confused and hoping the mint will say something different on June 30th.

HSN will hawk anything that they think will make them money.

I never bought into the "only 79,640" nonsense and hope others realize
not to either before they spend a stupid amount of $'s on a bullion ASE.

1) "others have stop(ped)"

There are still plenty for sale all over the place. Here's one ending soon that you can grab for between $12,000 and $16,000.
So I guess HSN is a bargain

2) there are already existing threads on the subject. Comments probably should be placed there so the history will flow better. No need for a new thread per comment...JMHO

They're still selling them because people are still buying them. Just imagine how nice that ASE will look next to the Clad and plated State Quarter sets Mike sold them.
