I found this coin or token in a shipment of masonry products a few years ago and I saved it to try to find out what it was. So far I've been stumped! I've tried using Google Translate to see if it could read the Asian characters, but that didn't work either.

The size and weight is about the same as a US Eisenhower dollar. The edge is reeded. I can't find any number anywhere on it. I am hoping to find answers here. Since the markings aren't that well defined, especially on the person, I suspect it may have been some sort of a token rather than a monetary coin. Any ideas?

@jw3689, first welcome to CCF. Second could you please check to see if a magnet is attracted to this piece? Also, I know that you said it was reeded, but could you include a pic of the edge too? Thx.

It's part of a series of medals, tokens, or souvenirs regarding 10 emperors of ancient China.
I just remembered this coin is shown bottom left in a box in another post June 1st.

I got one of these coins in a booklet at a souvenir shop in China Town.

Thank you for the replies and the welcome. Spence, I am pretty sure it is non-magnetic, but I will double check and take a picture of the reeding, just for completeness even though it sounds like it is just a commemorative souvenir coin. I can't seem to find the 6/1/17 post that Albert mentioned. Do you have any other search terms I might apply to find it?

In looking more broadly on this subject, I can see now that this style of fantasy Chinese piece has shown up with regularity at CCF.
